The company was started in 1998 by Stephen and Lesley Quinsey, each with more than 40 years experience in the transportation industry. Cooltrans mainly delivers within the greater Sydney metro area, but has been expanding its business to include more regional and air freight services.
When most people think about refrigerated couriers, their first thought is produce, vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, frozen packaged goods and pretty much everything else you can find in the cold sections of a supermarket. For the most part, it’s much more specialised than that. Pharmaceuticals, blood, bacteria and organs fall within the realm of medicinal products that require specialised cooling equipment while being transported.
It is imperative we know at all times where the goods are and when they will be arriving, as any breakdowns can be costly. Without proper tracking, overseeing multiple drivers across the state can be disastrous for a business.
